If you have to stop at one of the many highway Rest Areas,
Always Always ALWAYS make sure that yours is NOT the only vehicle there.
There have been many reportings of travelers stopping at a rest area, and because there are no other cars in the parking lot, they think they are the only ones there.
When in fact, they are NOT the only ones there. In the public restrooms at the Rest Areas, there have been people hiding in the restroom stalls, and then when the victim is least expecting it, alot of times when they are standing at the sink, the hidden criminal comes quietly out of the rest room stall, and then comes up behind their unsuspecting victim with a gun, and they rob them, and alot of times threaten to kill them if they don't cooperate.
It seems like nowhere is safe anymore. You ALWAYS have to be on your guard and never let yourself get in a situation where you are alone......anywhere.
